Fun Facts: Pommery & Greno was founded in 1856 by Alexandre Louis Pommery and Narcisse Greno. In July 1868, ten years after her husband's death, Madame Pommery begins what is arguably the largest construction site of the decade in Reims: the Domaine Pommery, an architectural landmark in Champagne. 120 old chalk tunnels from the Gallo-Roman period now house more than 25 million bottles until they reach maturity
Sensory description: brilliant apricot with copper highlights, steady thread of pearls in the glass. Fruity aromas of white currants and strawberry jelly unfold on the nose, along with lightly nutty aromas of toasted macadamia nuts. A touch of fresh bay leaf adds the necessary finesse. On the palate, the animating bubbles are powerful and fresh. The champagne is fruity, juicy on the nose and finishes with a good and precise reverberation with citrus impressions
Food recommendation: marinated strawberries with green pepper or roasted watermelon with scampi and salad bouquet are perfectly accompanied by this champagne
